Welcome to this course, this semester you will start with a new learning process. To be an independent student is not as complicated as it sounds, but it´s really necessary you follow your tutor´s instructions and recomendations. The first thing you have to do is to read the SAC manual, because in the Self Access-Center (SAC) you´ll be working 5 hours a week, to accomplish your activities and to cover all the topics you must study during the semester.
Now I will give you some suggestions before the first meeting with your tutor:
- Answer the tests in the SAC manual to learn more about yourself as a learner.
- Check the possibilities in your schedule to cover your five hours in the SAC.
- If you want you can buy the book that the regular students are using (ask your tutor), or check the material in the SAC, to work with the content of the semester.
